I wear womens 12w in shoes and have a high instep. My feet are quite wide. I was concerned the XL size would be too tight, but I ordered them anyways. When the Capas silicone fins arrived I put them on and walked around and it seemed my big toe was going to rub on the toe section of the fin. However my high instep wasn’t a problem because the fins don’t fit high up on the foot. I have swam with them several times so far and I LOVE them. No rubbing on my big toes in the water, and my feet don’t feel jammed in like they have in other fins. These fins “kind of” float—mine don’t sink to the floor of the pool, they hang an inch or two below the top of the water. I ordered gray—love them because they blend in better in the water (compared to a darker color). I prefer swimming with these fins. They seem short and small but they really speed up my lap times, so fun. Hate to take them off. ��
