I have a Patagonia backpack without a sternum strap and without a daisy chain on the shoulder strap. The shoulder strap only has a horizontal loop on the front of each strap.I initially attached these chest straps without using the loops. The straps felt secure but after testing it further, some slippage occurred. Next, I used the loops to attach the chest straps. It is a better fit since these straps stay securely in place.Key features of these chest straps for usage are:1. The strap material is strong and measures 1 inches wide.2. The quick-release buckle measures 1.75 inches in length.3. The overall length of each strap measures approximately 18 inches long.This kit contains other accessories for strap attachment configurability and 5 replacement zipper pulls.The only negative feedback is the lack or written instructions. Otherwise, these chest straps work well with my backpack.
