Product Information RubbaTile Playground Tiles – 1m x 1m RubbaTile play tiles are carefully constructed rubber mats, designed specifically for use in playgrounds or other children’s play areas. Typical surfacing materials, such as concrete or tarmac, do nothing to protect bodies from fall damage. In particular, a child’s play area has many potential hazards that can cause harm, such as the risk of falling from play apparatus. These tiles are purpose-designed and manufactured to provide cushioning to children, should they fall. These tiles are also manufactured with a non-slip surface to reduce the likelihood of slips and trips. They also offer optimum performance in wet weather, compared to other forms of safety flooring. Even in the rain, the tiles retain excellent anti-slip capabilities. They are also porous, allowing water to drain away from the surface. We offer these play tiles in a range of thicknesses, from 20mm to 80mm. Thicker tiles provide a greater shock absorption rate. This makes them perfect for use in areas where high apparatus, such as climbing frames, are in use. To provide a fully-accessible, trip-free border, we also supply ramped edge and corner tiles. Easy to Install and Protect These tiles can simply be placed down and butted together for an easy installation. The weight of the thicker tiles will help to ensure they can be trusted to stay in place. To see the tile weights, click on the TECHNICAL DATA tab above. Alternatively, you can use a two-part adhesive to ensure permanent installation. All tile thicknesses 30mm and above are supplied with a profiled underside for installation on gravel, sand, or other similar surfaces.
