I like this canteen case because I can carry it with a shoulder strap. I never liked carrying a canteen on a utility belt because the weight of the canteen with the added weight of the water makes for an extremely uncomfortable hike. Additionally, I like that the canteen pouch is slightly oversized. I can easily remove the canteen which also includes a portable stove and steel cup as an assembly. I threw away the “Pathfinder School” pouch that came with the canteen. It was junk. This is made well and will hold up to abuse.
